Over 98,500 km of Rural Roads Completed Across India Under PMGSY-III

Launched in 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III (PMGSY-III) aims to upgrade 1.25 lakh km of existing rural roads connecting villages to agricultural markets, higher secondary schools, and hospitals.
As of July 25, 2025, a total of 15,972 roads spanning 1,22,419 km and 3,212 bridges have been sanctioned under the scheme. Of these, 11,727 roads covering 98,588 km and 1,373 bridges have already been completed across India.
In Gujarat, 300 roads totaling 2,976 km and 191 bridges were sanctioned under PMGSY-III. Of these, 283 roads (2,866 km) and 33 bridges have been completed, marking significant progress in rural infrastructure development in the state.
