SPML Infra Announces Leadership Transition to Drive Growth in Water Infrastructure & BESS

SPML Infra Limited has announced a leadership transition aimed at accelerating growth, strengthening governance, and positioning the company for future opportunities in high-potential sectors such as water infrastructure development and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The transition marks a strategic shift towards next-generation operational leadership while retaining the promoters’ expertise in advisory roles.

As part of the changes, Abhinandan Sethi, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Managing Director for a five-year term. He will oversee business strategy, operations, corporate finance, and expansion into new infrastructure sectors including BESS. Subhash Sethi has moved from an executive role to become Non-Executive Chairman and Director, focusing on high-value legal, contractual, and arbitration strategy. Sushil Sethi will continue as Non-Executive Vice Chairman and Director, guiding business development, client relations, and market expansion

The governance-led transition is designed to propel growth in water EPC, fast-track expansion into BESS, reinforce governance with a clear division of executive and advisory roles, and create a leadership framework that combines legacy experience with operational agility for long-term value creation.
