Portal North Bridge Project: Mammoet Transports Three 120-Meter Bridge Sections
In collaboration with the Skanska-Traylor Joint Venture and Carver Marine, Mammoet achieved a significant milestone in the Portal North Bridge project—an essential infrastructure development aimed at enhancing the rail network in the New York metropolitan area.

Three new bridge sections will ultimately replace the century-old Portal Bridge, a critical link between Newark, New Jersey, and New York City. The current bridge, long considered a notorious bottleneck, frequently causes delays for Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains due to its outdated swing mechanism and recurring malfunctions.
