ICEMA 2025 Highlights Atmanirbharta, Technology, and Sustainability in Construction Equipment


The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) convened its Annual Session 2025 on 7th August at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The day-long event featured deliberations on Vision@2047 for the Construction Equipment (CE) industry, progressive trade policy, S.M.A.R.T. infrastructure, and strengthening the CE industry ecosystem. Atmanirbharta, technology, and sustainability in construction equipment were the key focus areas, as also highlighted by Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways.
Delivering a powerful vision for the sector’s role in building a developed India by 2047, Shri Gadkari announced that the government will award road projects worth ₹7 lakh crore in 2025-26, with the target expected to rise to ₹10 lakh crore annually, starting the following fiscal year. He emphasized that the process is transparent, time-bound, and corruption-free, adding that there is no shortage of funds.
