Sicoma starts local production of large capacity Concrete Mixers

Sicoma Mixers India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), a fully owned subsidiary of parent group S.I.C.O.M.A srl/OMG Group, Italy, has started local production of their large capacity Concrete Mixers. SMIPL, which was established in the year 2008 in Bengaluru, India, had started partial manufacturing (MP) and assembly of CKD Mixers (MAO) in 2010. The company had commenced local manufacturing of its Twin Shaft (MAO) Concrete Mixers of up to 1.5M3 capacity at their new manufacturing plants in Karnataka’s Dabaspet (in 2015) and Tumkur (in 2018).

Larger capacity Mixers (2.0M3 and above in MAO Mixers and 1.25M3 and above in MP Mixers) were imported from S.I.C.O.M.A srl.,Italy under the SKD route into India. Assemblies were completed in India with some local content and supplied to customers in India.

As part of its expansion plans to meet the growing demand in the Indian market and also to meet global export supply requirements, SMIPL has invested heavily in its Indian manufacturing facilities in order to manufacture Make in India Twin Shaft - MAO Mixers (2.0M3 & 3.0M3) and Planetary MP Mixers (1.25M3, 1.5M3 & 2.0M3). With this latest development, SMIPL has once again demonstrated its commitment to the dynamic Indian market and its esteemed OEMs and end customers in India.

The Mixers produced in India are manufactured 100% as per original Italian designs under strict ISO manufacturing regulations. These locally made Mixers are also being exported to global markets. They are seeing increasing demand as they are seen as import substitutes that meet global standards at affordable Indian prices, and their delivery periods have considerably shortened.
