Robbins India to Establish TBM Manufacturing Facility in Vadodara

Encouraged by the growing business opportunities in tunnel construction for transportation infrastructure in India, Robbins India is establishing an integrated, in-house manufacturing setup in the country. This was announced by Rajat Jain, Deputy General Manager.

"We have been evaluating the upcoming demand for tunnel construction in India, and the construction schedules. This will require the deployment and commissioning of TBMs with shorter lead times. To meet the demand, we are setting up a manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. The state-of-the-art facility, with complete design support and fabrication capabilities, will produce between 2 to 4 machines annually over a span of 8 to 10 months. We are also setting up an assembly unit in Bangalore," informed Jain.
