If supported by robust execution, India has the potential to become a global manufacturing powerhouse, not just meeting domestic demand but also serving international markets.

Prashant Mathur gives an overview of India’s renewable energy infrastructure, and the potential it holds.
India’s renewable energy infrastructure is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by policy clarity, accelerating private investments, and technological innovation. With a target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030—280 GW of which is expected to come from solar alone, the country has laid out a clear blueprint for energy transition.
In the next 5–10 years, we anticipate high-efficiency technologies like N-TopCon and HJT, greater emphasis on hybrid models like solar-wind and solar-storage, and a massive uptick in digitalisation and AI-driven performance monitoring.
