Ganga Expressway: UP's Monumental Project Nears Completion
The Ganga Expressway stands as a beacon of progress and is one of the most remarkable feats in the realm of road construction. Its transformative impact will be witnessed by the coming generation as a critical transportation artery for millions across the region.

About the project
The Ganga Expressway, one of Uttar Pradesh's most ambitious infrastructure projects, is a 6-lane wide greenfield expressway, comprising a total distance of 1047 kms, of which 594 kms is approved by the government. Its construction is being carried out in two phases: Phase 1 will connect Bijauli village on NH 334 in Meerut with Judapur Dandu village on NH19 in Prayagraj and Phase 2 will connect Prayagraj to Ballia and Meerut to Haridwar.
Kanpur being the central point of the Expressway, functions as a nodal and a major hub for economic and industrial activity, with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and the Awadh Expressway projects in its vicinity. The project follows the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) model. It is being implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development (UPEIDA).
