HD Hyundai CE Launches 20T Smart X Plus Excavators & BS-V Wheel Loaders

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd. has launched its all-new 20T Smart X Plus excavator series along with the BS-V Wheel Loaders.

The Smart X Plus series introduces five upgraded 20-ton excavator models — R210, R215, R215L, R230LM, and R245LR — designed for superior performance across diverse terrains. These machines are built to serve the construction, mining, irrigation, and infrastructure sectors, further strengthening HD Hyundai’s product portfolio in these key segments.

The newly introduced BS-V Wheel Loaders, available in the 3ton HL630I and 5-ton HL650I models, are engineered to deliver high productivity, fuel efficiency, and durability, making them ideal for material handling applications in mining, quarrying, port, and construction projects. In line with the Government mandated BS-V emission norms, both models feature robust build quality and advanced technology to ensure reliability in tough working environments, while offering customers higher productivity and lower operating costs. With this addition, HD Hyundai expands its portfolio, providing customers with a comprehensive range of advanced and environmentally compliant equipment solutions.

Marking this milestone, Cheolgon Choi, Global CEO of HD Hyundai CE, unveiled the SMART X Plus Excavators and the BSV Wheel Loader series. “Combining superior-quality products with advanced automation will make Hyundai the preferred choice for customers in the construction, infrastructure, port, mining, and quarry sectors,” he said.

The event, held at the company’s manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune, was attended by authorized dealers, customers, media partners, creators, and key stakeholders, marking another significant milestone in Hyundai’s growth journey in India.

The launch program began with a vibrant Maharashtrian welcome featuring Dhol-Tasha and cultural performances, followed by addresses from company leadership and the Global CEO of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, Korea. The highlight of the day was the unveiling of the Smart X Plus series, a customer-inspired innovation built on the 5X advantage platform.
