Bengaluru’s First Double-Decker Flyover Nears Completion at Silk Board Junction

BMRCL

Bengaluru’s first double-decker flyover is expected to be fully operational by the end of December or early next year. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has begun launching steel girders over the Silk Board Junction flyover to connect the HSR Layout side of the Outer Ring Road with BTM Layout.

The 5.5 km elevated stretch will enable motorists from HSR Layout to reach BTM Layout via a down ramp and Ragi Gudda using the road flyover. Once opened, it will also ease travel for commuters from BTM Layout and Ragi Gudda heading towards HSR Layout and Electronics City, helping to decongest one of the city’s busiest junctions.
