In a major infrastructure boost for South Haryana, the Central Government has approved the development of a new 45-km four-lane National Highway from Nuh to Ferozepur Jhirka and Alwar on the Rajasthan border. Tenders have been issued for the ₹325-crore project, which aims to reduce travel time and enhance road safety in the region.
Part of National Highway 248-A, the proposed stretch will feature nine flyovers, six underpasses, and bypasses at Malab and Bhadas in Nuh. The government has set a two-year completion timeline for the project.
Once completed, the highway is expected to significantly improve connectivity to Rajasthan and address safety concerns on the existing route, which has witnessed over 2,500 fatalities in the last 12 years.
