Dietmar Floßdorf GmbH & Co. KG has strengthened its crane fleet with two new machines from Liebherr’s Ehingen plant—a powerful LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane and an LTR 1150 telescopic crawler crane—set to operate primarily on wind farms and large construction projects.

“We purchased the LTM 1750-9.1 to significantly expand our deployment options in the heavy-duty and major assembly sectors, especially in relation to wind power,” said Marco Floßdorf, the company’s authorised signatory. “Its high load capacity combined with good mobility allows us to install large hub heights and heavy components more efficiently. Equipped with all available options, this crane ensures maximum flexibility and utilisation across sectors.”

The 150-tonne LTR 1150 will primarily support the LTM 1750-9.1 on wind projects. With its crawler carrier and ability to move with load on the hook, it can handle setup tasks for the larger crane as well as system components in its role as an auxiliary machine. “For us, the LTR 1150 offers the ideal combination of high load capacity, rapid setup time and exceptional terrain capability,” Floßdorf added. “Optimised for transport, it is the perfect complement to the LTM 1750-9.1.”

The duo has already proven itself at a wind farm near Alsfeld, Hesse, where limited site space required the LTR 1150 to install the LTM 1750-9.1’s 30-metre luffing jib from the field edge. With its 52-metre telescopic boom, the crawler crane easily managed the task.

“Our new telescopic crawler crane combines many advantages in one machine. It requires no additional dismantling for rapid site changes and is superb for preparatory and ancillary work on major projects,” said Floßdorf. “Both cranes will not only expand our capacities but also enable safer and more efficient processes for our customers.”

With these additions, Floßdorf’s fleet now exceeds 20 cranes, supported by 23 transport vehicles and a 70-member team offering heavy-duty lifting, specialist transport, and construction services.
