AMC Invites Tender for ₹979 Cr Kharicut Canal Development in Ahmedabad

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has floated a tender for the development of the Kharicut Canal at an estimated cost of ₹979.26 crore. The project aims to modernize canal infrastructure, improve irrigation and water management, and boost urban connectivity across major stretches of Ahmedabad.
The scope of work includes extensive canal development along key urban corridors, covering Ring Road, Vatva, Naroda, Vastral, and Ghodasar, with extensions towards Ropda Lake and the Khari River. The canal stretches from SP Ring Road to Naroda Smashan Gruh, and from Vinzol Vehla to Ghodasar Aavkar Hall to Vatva, connecting back to SP Ring Road within the AMC area, with further expansion up to Ropda Lake and the Khari River.
