Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth about ₹1,723 crore under the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ in New Delhi. He said that PM Modi is moving ahead with the vision of building a developed, secure, and prosperous India.

As part of the initiatives, Shri Shah announced the inauguration of the Narela-Bawana Waste-to-Energy Plant, which will process 3,000 tons of waste daily to generate electricity. Alongside, the Okhla plant is handling 2,000 metric tons, further strengthening Delhi’s green energy and circular economy drive. “From the massive garbage mounds that once shamed the people of Delhi, the Modi government is now generating electricity,” he stated.

Highlighting the government’s reforms, Shri Shah said that GST on essential items has been slashed from 28% and 18% to 5% or even zero, easing the burden on the common man. He added that PM Modi’s leadership has lowered taxes to zero or 5% on 395 items used daily by households.

Urging citizens to buy domestically produced goods, Shri Shah emphasized that promoting indigenous products must become both a habit and a collective resolve. He underlined that adopting swadeshi goods will empower local industries and help realize the vision of a prosperous, self-reliant India.
