Ministry of Steel Launches Special Campaign 5.0 for Cleanliness, E-Waste Management & Efficient Governance

The Ministry of Steel and its PSUs will participate in Special Campaign 5.0, scheduled from October 2 to 31, 2025, with a strong focus on cleanliness, sustainability, e-waste management, and mechanised cleaning. The campaign aims to enhance administrative efficiency and promote citizen-centric governance.
Building on the success of Special Campaign 4.0 (October 2024), which streamlined file disposal, cleared pending matters, and optimized office spaces, the Ministry continued efforts to sustain cleanliness and efficiency throughout the year.
Special Campaign 5.0 will emphasize four key areas: scientific e-waste management, adoption of mechanised cleaning practices, timely clearance of pending references from PMO, states, Parliament, and VIP matters, and digital outreach for public awareness and engagement.
The campaign will be conducted in two phases: a Preparatory Phase (September 15–30, 2025) to identify targets, followed by the Implementation Phase (October 2–31, 2025) for execution and monitoring.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of Steel reaffirms its commitment to Swachhata, sustainability, and efficient governance, aligning with the vision of cleaner workplaces and improved public service delivery.
