BMC Sets Deadlines for Bandra-Dharavi Flyover, Bandra Skywalk & Worli Connector Projects

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced strict timelines for three key infrastructure projects, the Bandra-Dharavi flyover (phase one), the Bandra (E) skywalk, and the Worli connector, with completion targets of November 30, December 31, and December 2026, respectively.

Nearly 80 per cent of the Bandra skywalk is complete, and the remaining work is expected to finish within three months, allowing it to open for public use by December 31. The first phase of the Bandra-Dharavi flyover, part of the Mithi River widening project, is 90 per cent done and will be ready by November, adding two new southbound lanes with direct access to Mahim Causeway. Work orders for the second phase will follow, with an 18-month completion target.

Meanwhile, 30 per cent of the Worli connector between E Moses Road and Dr Annie Besant Road is complete. Once finished in December 2026, it will significantly ease traffic congestion in Worli Naka, Mahalaxmi, and Lower Parel.
