Centre Allocates ₹195 Cr to Chhattisgarh for Rural Road Connectivity in Naxal-Affected Areas

The Government of India has approved ₹195 crore for Chhattisgarh under the 2025–26 Road Connectivity Project for Left Wing Extremism Affected Areas (RCPLWEA), aimed at boosting rural infrastructure in conflict-affected regions. The funds were sanctioned through the Ministry of Finance’s “Just-in-Time” release mechanism using the Single Nodal Agency (SNA) SPARSH model for Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
Of the total amount, ₹190.61 crore is allocated for programme implementation and ₹4.38 crore for administrative costs. The funds will support construction, upgradation, and maintenance of rural roads in remote and forested areas impacted by Left Wing Extremism. The Ministry of Rural Development has urged the Chhattisgarh government to ensure timely and effective utilization of the funds as per scheme guidelines.
