Kuki-Zo Council Opens NH-02 for Free Movement After Talks with MHA

Kuki-Zo Council

In a significant development, the Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) has decided to open National Highway-02 for the free movement of commuters and essential goods. The decision follows a series of meetings in New Delhi between officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and a KZC delegation.

The Council has assured full cooperation with security forces deployed by the Government of India to maintain peace along the route. NH-02 is a vital highway connecting Dibrugarh in Assam to Tuipang in Mizoram, serving as a lifeline for transport and trade across the Northeast region.
