Pune Metro Swargate–Katraj Line Gets ₹683 Cr Boost for Two New Stations

The Maharashtra cabinet has approved an additional ₹683.11 crore for the construction of two new stations on the Swargate–Katraj underground Metro line and for shifting the Katraj station southwards by 420 metres.
The new stations at Balajinagar and Bibwewadi were later additions to the plan, raising the total number of stations on the corridor to five instead of the three proposed in the original DPR.
The revised project cost will be shared among Pune Municipal Corporation (₹227.4 crore), a bilateral loan component (₹341.1 crore), and the state government through secondary debt.
