NHSRCL Receives Bids for Multi-Modal Facilities at Four Gujarat Bullet Train Stations

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project is making steady headway with new milestones being achieved. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has received proposals from four bidders for the development of multi-modal integration facilities and station plazas at four bullet train stations in Gujarat—Surat, Bilimora, Vapi, and Bharuch.
The scope of work covers construction activities to ensure seamless connectivity and passenger convenience at these key stations.
Meanwhile, physical progress on the corridor also continues. In Gujarat, the 17th river bridge—out of a planned 21—was recently completed over the Vishwamitri River in Vadodara district. In Maharashtra, a significant milestone was achieved on July 9, 2025, when the first successful tunnel drive was completed in the 21 km-long Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC)–Shilphata section. This involved the continuous excavation of a 2.7 km stretch using the NATM tunnelling method.
