PM Modi Announces ₹1,200 Cr Aid for Uttarakhand Flood Relief & Infra Reconstruction

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Dehradun to assess the devastation caused by floods and landslides in Uttarakhand, announced ₹1,200 crore in financial assistance for the state.

He also declared an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives and ₹50,000 for the seriously injured. Children orphaned by the recent disasters will receive support under the ‘PM CARES for Children’ scheme.

Emphasizing a multi-dimensional recovery plan, the Prime Minister said the relief package will include rebuilding homes under PM Awas Yojana, restoring national highways, reconstructing schools, providing aid through PMNRF, and distributing mini livestock kits to affected families.
