PM Modi Launches Development Projects Worth ₹5,100 Cr in Arunachal Pradesh

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works worth over ₹5,100 crore in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
As part of the state’s push for sustainable energy, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for two major hydropower projects, the 240 MW Heo Hydro Electric Project and the 186 MW Tato-I Hydro Electric Project, worth over ₹3,700 crore in the Siyom sub-basin.
He also laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Convention Center at Tawang, located at 9,820 feet. With a capacity of over 1,500 delegates, the centre will serve as a premier venue for national and international conferences, cultural festivals, and exhibitions, boosting tourism and cultural exchange.
In addition, the Prime Minister inaugurated key infrastructure projects worth over ₹1,290 crore, spanning connectivity, healthcare, fire safety, and women’s welfare. These initiatives aim to drive economic activity, improve quality of life, and strengthen regional connectivity.
Later, the Prime Minister interacted with taxpayers, traders, and industry representatives to discuss the impact of recent GST rate rationalisation, highlighting the government’s focus on ease of doing business and entrepreneurship in the region.
