PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone of Sardardham Phase-II, Kanya Chhatralaya in Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sardardham Phase-II, Kanya Chhatralaya in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He said that the name of Sardardham is as sacred as its work, highlighting the inauguration of a hostel dedicated to the service and education of daughters.

Shri Modi informed that a state-of-the-art facility with excellent arrangements is now available for 3,000 daughters, while hostel construction for 2,000 students in Vadodara is nearing completion. Similar centres for education, learning, and training are also being developed in Surat, Rajkot, and Mehsana.

The Prime Minister noted that infrastructure development across the country is progressing at record pace. He pointed out that under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, large-scale installation of solar systems is underway. He also underlined India’s continuous growth in the drone and defence industries, reiterating that the government’s foremost focus is on mission-driven manufacturing, which is generating new employment opportunities in Gujarat.
