The Sinarmas West Coast Project, a major industrial initiative in Raigad District with an investment of ₹10,500 crore, was also reviewed. This project by Sinar Mas Pulp & Paper is poised to boost India’s pulp and paper manufacturing capacity, generate significant employment, and attract downstream industries. The project entails setting up state-of-the-art production facilities with modern infrastructure, supported by improved connectivity, to strengthen the region’s industrial ecosystem.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Praveen Mahto, Principal Economic Advisor, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and witnessed participation from senior officials from central ministries, state governments, and project proponents.
