Terex Environmental Solutions Opens New Technical Center of Excellence in Bengaluru
Environmental Solutions (ES), a business segment of Terex Corporation and a global leader in environmental equipment and technology, has announced the grand opening of its new Technical Center of Excellence in Whitefield, Bengaluru, India. This facility expands ES’s global R&D footprint and strengthens its ability to deliver advanced solutions to customers worldwide.
The new center, called TIRC ES (Terex India R&D Center – Environmental Solutions), joins ES’s existing network of Centers of Excellence in Austin (Texas), Chattanooga (Tennessee), and San Diego (California). The Bengaluru team will drive innovation in digital solutions, Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs), and stationary equipment such as compactors and balers, while also providing technical and manufacturing engineering support for ES brands including Heil®, Marathon®, and 3rd Eye®.
Spread across 17,700 sq. ft., the facility features a dedicated electrical lab and specialized zones for hardware and software testing. An additional 5,600 sq. ft. test lab has been developed for lifecycle testing to accelerate product development and ensure long-term reliability.
The center currently houses 160 team members, who transitioned from Dover India on July 1, 2024, and are now fully integrated into the Terex engineering ecosystem. This transition follows Terex’s acquisition of Environmental Solutions Group (ESG) from Dover Corporation in October 2024, further reinforcing Terex’s leadership in environmental technologies.

The opening was celebrated with a traditional Indian Pooja ceremony, symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings, followed by onboarding and a warm welcome from leadership teams across the organization.
