Assam Secures ₹6,500 Cr for Development Projects in Infrastructure & Healthcare

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth about ₹6,500 crore in Darrang, Assam. The initiatives aim to boost healthcare, infrastructure, and connectivity in the region.

The projects include the Darrang Medical College & Hospital, along with a GNM School and B.Sc. Nursing College, which will strengthen medical education and healthcare delivery. The Prime Minister also launched the Guwahati Ring Road Project to improve urban mobility, ease traffic congestion, and enhance connectivity in and around the state capital. In addition, the foundation stone was laid for the Kuruwa–Narengi Bridge over the River Brahmaputra, a key project that will improve regional connectivity and foster socio-economic development.
