Centre Clears ₹30,425 Cr NH Projects in Telangana

The Centre has approved national highway projects worth ₹30,425 crore in Telangana, spanning 1,174 km, along with ₹868 crore under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for 422 km. While 26 projects are in the DPR stage, the state has been urged to expedite land acquisition and forest clearances.
Key proposals include a four-lane elevated corridor over the Tiger Reserve on the Hyderabad–Srisailam route, where night traffic is currently restricted, and a ₹13,957-crore, 161.5 km regional expressway from Girmapur to Tangadapalli. Other major works cover ₹2,662 crore for 80 km on NH-167 and widening, strengthening, and repairs on NH-63, NH-565, NH-930P, and more.
