Gujarat Approves ₹2,609 Cr for Rural Road Upgradation

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved an infrastructure push of ₹2,609 crore to upgrade panchayat-managed roads across the state. The project will cover 1,258 roads spanning 4,196 km, enhancing all-weather rural connectivity.
As per the plan, 487 roads (1,609 km) in north Gujarat, 499 roads (1,528 km) in south Gujarat, and 272 roads (1,059 km) in Saurashtra will be resurfaced. The decision addresses long-standing demands from local representatives and rural communities for durable road infrastructure.
