Southern Railway to Develop Podanur Station as Second Terminal for Coimbatore

In view of the rising demand for additional train services from Coimbatore Junction, the Southern Railway is developing Podanur railway station, one of Tamil Nadu’s oldest stations, as the second terminal for Coimbatore city at a cost of ₹100 crore.

Podanur station is already undergoing a ₹24 crore makeover under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with nearly 80% of the work completed.
